SSA: COLA Will Not Increase in 2016

SSA has announced there will not be an increase to COLA in 2016. This means many individuals will not see an increase in benefit checks or associated thresholds.  Monthly Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits will not automatically increase in 2016 as there was no increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI-W) from the third quarter of 2014 to the third quarter of 2015.  Other important 2016 Social Security information is SGA and TWP will increase. For more information please see the link below. If you still have questions please contact DC APSE to be put in contact with a Benefits Counselor.
